Summer style is awesome. There is no need to throw on multiple layers, shit that's wackier than the norm is perfectly acceptable, and girls are wearing the wonderful things they wear in the summer. Celebrities aren't immune to summer style, either. This is the season when they really go for broke and tell their stylists to go buck wild, which means things can go terribly wrong in an instant.

The past three months have been a wild time, and for every sick style moment, there was at least one other celebrity style fail. As the temps begin to cool down and people start to gear up for fall, it's nice to reminisce about the times we were able to point and laugh at the rich and famous who, let's be honest, could give a fuck about us normals getting joy from their failures. Whether it was on the red carpet, at a performance, or via social media, these are The Worst Celebrity Style Fails of the Summer.

Papoose's arms and smiley face chain storm the stage.

Where: Hot 97 Summer Jam
When: June 2, 2013

The main controversy of this year's Summer Jam was Papoose's shocking appearance. The accompanying bare arms and emoji chain only further confused the crowds, and would be a style fail no matter where you decided to show up unannounced. Even though he didn't participate in "Leather Jam 2013" that everyone else seemed to hop on to, Papoose's look was just all types of wrong.

Sean Kingston dresses like a Medieval art textbook.

Where: Hot 97 Summer Jam
When: June 2, 2013

Religious imagery and leather are two trends that go hand-in-hand, and we've seen brands like Pyrex Vision, Givenchy, and tons of others combine the two. Sean Kingston took it to new levels with this shirt that could serve as a primer for anyone interested in Medieval Christian art. The amount of graphics probably covers all significant events from the birth of Jesus Christ to the election of the current Pope Benedict XVI.

Trinidad James makes sure the apron trend never happens.

Where: Under the Influence Tour, Houston, TX
When: July 26, 2013

Unless you're a medical examiner, chef, or sexy maid, there's no reason you should ever be wearing an apron. As Trinidad James' star continues on its meteoric rise, he'll probably commit a few more style slip-ups along the way. His successes definitely outweigh the fails thus far, but there's no overlooking this ridiculous attempt to make kitchen-wear a thing.

DJ Cassidy proves he moonlights as a gondola operator.

Where: MTV VMAs
When: August 25, 2013

If an outfit makes people expect you to burst into an Italian-accented rendition of "That's Amore," you are doing everything wrong. Pastels, a boater hat, and pushed-up sleeves are all doing DJ Cassidy a serious disservice, and he needs to leave the year 2004 immediately. No matter what the season, dressing like a vintage patent leather Bapesta is never a good look.

Justin Bieber utilizes the leather scrotal chamber of his drop-crotch pants.

Where: Concert at the Prudential Center, Newark, NJ
When: July 30, 2013

In case you missed it, Justin Bieber picked up a phone that a fan threw on stage, dropped it into the warm air pocket formed by his balooning harem pants, and mopped up the scrotal juices marinating his number one Belieber. So while drop-crotch pants are almost always a fail, in this instance it's more about how the pop singer utilized the diaper area for temporary storage. Disgusting.

This is the only time fruit has been near Rick Ross' belly.

Where: Art for Life Gala: A Field of Dreams
When: July 30, 2013

Rick Ross probably didn't realize how doo-doo this shirt was because he was mesmerized by the magical globular shapes in the pattern and what they depicted. "Fruit" was a concept he had never heard of (besides diced pineapples soaked in Molly water), and immediately knew that he had to rock this piece no matter what it looked like. Of course, the only way he consumed said fruit was to make a Ciroc flavor with it.

Nelly wants to be a Neon Don.

Where: Teen Choice Awards
When: August 11, 2013

Seeing as he almost perfectly matches the backdrop of this red carpet, it looks like Nelly is now taking style cues from Candie's shoes, Acuvue contact lenses, Fox, and the "It Can Wait" anti-texting while driving campaign. We're not sure if he was trying to claim the title of "Neon Icon" away from RiFF RAFF, but this thorough and overstimulating fail was perhaps the most exciting and noteworty thing about the Teen Choice Awards.

Russell Westbrook channels his inner Power Ranger.

Where: Teen Choice Awards
When: August 11, 2013

Okay, clearly we spoke too soon about Nelly. This was the craziest thing to happen at the Teen Choice Awards. Russell Westbrook is definitely known for unabashedly taking style risks, and this customized shirt was definitely one of his biggest leaps of faith yet. It didn't go over too well with the haters who reside on the Internet, but Westbrook told us that he simply did not give a fuck. Then hopefully he doesn't care that he's on this list...

Swizz Beatz borrowed a 7th grader's tuxedo T-shirt.

Where: Unknown
When: August 25, 2013

Remember that one kid in middle school who wore a tuxedo shirt to the middle school dance? Well, he didn't get his first kiss until college, and it all stems from thinking that T-shirt was an awesome idea. Swizz Beatz decided to return to his juvenile roots with authentically inauthentic evening wear. Capping off the look was the douchiest accessory currently out there: Google Glass. In San Francisco, people have taken to calling Glass-wearers "glassholes," and paired with a tuxedo T-shirt, that name seems to fit here, too.

Busta Rhymes should put a mirror where his eyes can see.

Where: MTV VMAs
When: August 25, 2013

Busta Rhymes is no stranger to ridiculous outfits at the VMAs, but this just looked like the entire city of Miami vomited on the Brooklyn native. Since the awards ceremony was in his home borough, couldn't Busta have put on for his hometown, at least aesthetically if not literally? Instead, he comes through looking like he just did went on a yay'd out bender with the ghosts of Liberace and Gianni Versace. RIP to those legends and hopefully to this look.
