Let's skip the "pauses" and be very honest for a second. The style icons that are constantly street styled and have served as inspiration for streetwear and menswear dudes for years all have one thing in common. They're all very handsome. Well, good for them.

But just because you have don't have the cheekbones of an Estonian model or the flowing locks of a Mediterranean deep sea diver doesn't mean having good style isn't impossible. Afterall, rocking the right clothes in the right way will do wonders for both your appearance and your character. Just because these guys were born with grills only a mother could love didn't slow them down. With faces fit for the radio, here are 10 Ugly Style Icons.

10. Prince William

If you're heir to the throne of the country that is world-famous for impeccable tailoring and suiting, there's no doubt you're gonna look sharp at all hours of the day. Even when you're brushing your equine teeth or combing hair that's as iffy as British cuisine, you're inspiring young men everywhere to dress up as if they're head of a monarch, even if they have the face of a peasant.

9. Woody Allen

The director and actor is definitely not known for his looks, but his style and wit embody the New York that people refer to when they say "I miss the old New York." His frantically thrown together outfits are indicative of the city's breakneck pace and his blasé attitude towards what others think. Which, of course, has resulted in a sense of style that's so on point dudes spend much time and effort imitating the carelessness.

8. Willem Dafoe

When the casting began for Spider-Man, was there any doubt that they'd be calling up Willem Dafoe to play a goblin? We mean this in the nicest way possible 'cause we respect the dude's craft, but he looks like a member of Satan's army as depicted in biblical imagery. And yet, there is no denying that Dafoe is a cat with serious steez. If you doubt it, just ask Prada. They hit up the actor to star in their AW12 campaign, and it also seems like he's always gracing the covers of obscure European fashion mags. Dude know what he's working with, and is making it work.

7. Chris Bosh

When Chris Bosh played for the Raptors, the jokes just wrote themselves. But after making the move to Miami, Bosh has turnt up the volume on his sharp wardrobe to drown out any comments on his reptilian manner. It's hard for any 7-footer to dress well, so Bosh accomplishing this should take precedent over any thing to be said about his facial, unless it's a champagne facial...

6. Adrian Brody

With his giant cow-eyes and awesome style, Adrian Brody is able to make everyone literally look past the biggest issue in the room: his schnoz. In fact, by wearing clothes that become the focus of the conversation, Brody's nose almost becomes a fashionable accessory that adds character to the larger picture. If you have Dumbo-like ears, a wonky eye, or a scar, take note on how Brody uses his sartorial style to make every part of him look good.

5. Olivier Zahm

Olivier Zahm invokes his fellow countryman and fellow ugly style icon Serge Gainsbourg. As the founder of Purple Magazine, he cavorts and parties hard with the beautiful people of Europe, even if he's the only one in their midst going for the whole "Neanderthal who just woke up" look. Still though, he is notorious for his raunchy private photoshoots and his shabby chic outfits have definitely helped him get more ass than a bidet in the European Union.

4. Ralph Lauren

The man behind the greatest menswear brand of all time started out as just a simple kid from the Bronx. And, despite the classic American world he's created, he still looks like a simple kid from the Bronx. But while draped up in Western-inspired gear, Ralph has literally defined the American aesthetic of handsomeness and beauty—too bad he never had it himself. You know what they say: if you can't join 'em, just make a shitload of money off of 'em.

3. Rick Owens

Rick Owens designs clothes for guys who look like they have arrived from the Underworld. At times, outfits from the reigning King of Street Goth look like they've come from a tortured soul, and the American designer looks like he's hung out with some demons. With stringy black hair down to his ass, and that weird jacked-older-guy thing going on, Owens looks like a Game of Thrones extra who keeps a trill wardrobe and has kitted out a ton of guys who are down with clothes getting weirder.

2. Keith Richards

Years of massive alcohol and drug abuse will do anyone's face a disservice, and since Keith Richards is the man who cannot be killed by substances, he wears his party years heavily. So if you're gonna look like a man who did more drugs than all of Miami in the 1980s, you better have some good style to compensate. Lucky for "Keef," he was a pioneer in rocker style who combined wild clothes with mod slickness. The Rolling Stones guitarist was an OG influencer for guys who didn't look pretty but, with the right clothes and swagger, could get with any woman they wanted.

1. Serge Gainsbourg

This French crooner is a national treasure, and not just because of his music. With his super sophisticated but never too buttoned-up wardrobe, Serge Gainsbourg bedded every sex symbol of the '60s, including Brigitte Bardot and Jane Birkin. He always looked like he had just boned another model or actress, because he probably had. Even though he was born with a face that cemented the "Frog" stereotypes Americans hold, Gainsbourg's outfits helped him hurdle that formidable obstacle.
