Over the past few years, Nasir Mazhar has established himself as one of the most exciting and interesting designers in Britain today. The latest stage in this progression is a new collaboration with Topman, which is dropping early next month.
Speaking about the 10-piece capsule, Nasir said that working with Topman “made it possible for me to bring my aesthetic to customers in an exciting and more accessible way.” He also said that he was thinking about “forward thinking teens, an energy that’s optimistic and energised but also boisterous” while he was putting the capsule together, and that its got “something for playing sport, something for the rave, something for the pool”.
The collection can be split into five different looks. There are two coordinated sets, one in powder blue and the other in baby pink, that both feature embroidered logos prominently. There’s also Nasir’s first use of an all over print, on a nylon tracksuit which has been reworked with Nasir’s hand painted artwork and also includes his iconic waistband piping, as well as a black, white and red track top with matching shorts. The fifth look features a ‘motion blur’ muscle fit tee in a stretch sports fabric and black jeans with ‘NASIR MAZHAR’ cut outs.
