Dutch fashion designerIris van Herpen combines 3D printing technology with hand crafting skills to create complex haute couture designs. Her dresses resemble sculptural bodysuits that are capable of bringing forth powerful transformation, as they embrace unconventional elements and forms that give the pieces a body and life of their own. An exhibition of her work will be on display at the International Centre for Lace and Fashion in Calais, France from June 15 to December 31.
