Andrey Adno Paints an Impossible Arcitectural Mural in Moscow
This dream house would come tumbling down.

For the LGZ festival in Moscow this summer, Kaliningrad-based artist Andrey Adno has painted a 13-story tall mural. The artist finished the piece in five days, which is less than you would expect for the painting's size. Fitting with the contours of the long, narrow canvas, the mural depicts a structural compilation that seems to rise upward. The very bottom of the painting shows a body of water on top of which the entire construction lies. A wooden platform at the base supports a house, and vertical extensions lead up to colorful, patterned boxes. These shapes finally meet the top of the mural, which finishes with a tree. While in real life the architecture would not be structurally sound, as a painting, the construction is a beautiful pile of uncanny elements.
