Last September, Rihanna hinted at the possibility of launching her own beauty line. The singer had quietly trademarked the name "Fenty Beauty," but hadn't offered any details on her plans for expanding her empire. Now, it looks like RiRi is finally moving forward with her cosmetics line. WWD is reporting that Rihanna reached a deal with the luxury conglomerate LVMH for an estimated $10 million.
There is still very little information on the actual makeup collection, but we do know that Rihanna will release "Fenty Beauty by Rihanna" in the fall of 2017.
"Fenty Beauty by Rihanna is a beauty rocket ship that will appeal to a huge and diverse global audience," David Suliteanu, the chief executive officer of LVMH's incubator Kendo, told WWD. "We are aiming for the stars."
Rihanna's beauty line is just the next step in her takeover of the style and beauty worlds. In addition to previously working with MAC to release her special-edition makeup collections and releasing several of her own fragrances, Rihanna launched a style and beauty agency last year called Fr8me that works with artists for commercials, editorial shoots, and red carpet events.
