Floyd Mayweather is obviously known for indulging. Whether it's spending $3.5 million on a 2017 Bugatti Chiron or $150,000 on a custom Hermès bag, the guy isn't afraid to open his wallet. So it shouldn't come as a surprise to hear the boxer spends $1,000 every time he gets a haircut.TMZ Sports spoke with Money Mayweather's long-time barber Jackie Starr on Sunday after Mayweather shared a photo she posted on Instagram, and she revealed the four-figure cost of one of her cuts.
Starr used Instagram to reveal that she met Mayweather in 2001 after she moved to Las Vegas. She didn't start cutting his hair until 2009, but now, she's the sole barber responsible for keeping him pretty at home and abroad.
Even though Mayweather rocks a bald head, it apparently takes a lot of work to maintain. Starr said that Mayweather gets his hair cut multiple times every week.
"I cut his hair two times a week, three times is pushing it, but then it also depends on the occasion," Starr said to TMZ Sports. "If he's in training, I will cut him Monday, Wednesday, and Friday."
That means that, during some weeks, Mayweather is dishing out as much as $3,000 on haircuts. It isn't as much as Kanye West reportedly pays for haircuts while on tour. Rihanna's father, Ronald Fenty, once claimed that West spends $500 a day on his hair. But still, $1,000 is a lot of money to spend for a haircut. Cleary, there is no price too high for that fresh cut feeling.
