Disheveled is never a good look, but it should be avoided at all costs if you're looking to get tied down in a serious relationship.
New research shared by The Wall Street Journal found that being unkempt was the number one dealbreaker for women and men.
The study gave 5,541 single adults in the U.S. a list of 17 negative traits and asked them if they would consider them dealbreakers for a long-term relationship. The responses from both sexes determined that being "disheveled or unclean" is the most undesirable trait. "Lazy" and "too needy" rounded out the top three for ladies.
The study also found that women weigh the negatives over the positives, so even if you have a great sense of humor, you can't be looking like a mess.
