Kanye West is serious about his plan to change the world through art and design, so much that he went to Harvard University's Graduate School of Design to give a talk to students about his company DONDA. As we've highlighted in the past, DONDA began on January 5, 2012 when Kanye tweeted that he was creating a 22-division+ company "to dream of, create, advertise and produce products driven equally by emotional want and utilitarian need...To marry our wants and needs."
Now, he's showing and proving. As DONDA Creative Director Virgil Abloh pointed out on Instagram, the talk he and 'Ye gave at Harvard today was the first in the DONDA Design Lecture Series. The Yeezus tour heads to New York this week, so might he be making a stop at a New York university? Let's hope so.
