Self-taught British industrial designer Tom Dixon sat down for a very brief talk with Nowness about the term "design" and what it is that designers do. As a welder, Dixon's work is as much about the process of creating as it is about the design. In the video he also talks about the first time he used a welding torch and how it led to his career as a designer.
