There are lots of great contemporary portrait artists out there who find interesting ways to translate facial features to the page or canvas, but there is something amazing about the way that hyperreal artists do it. Faces are hard to master, so it's impressive when someone is able to paint one that tricks you into believing that it's a photograph.
