There are fans, and then there are fans. It's one thing to hang a poster or attend every concert or game that your favorite athletes and musicians have participated in, but it's another thing entirely to get their faces tattooed on your skin to show how much you love them. It can be creepy, but it can also be sincere, and some celebrities eat it up. We did a little digging and found photos of celebrities who have met people with tattoo tributes to them and were cool enough to pose for photos.

When LeBron James shared a photo of himself next to a fan with a massive back tribute tattoo, we had to talk to the fan and ask him about it. Michael Arevalo told us that he has been a King James fan since his days at Akron High School and that he wanted to do “something to show the fan I am to the greatest player in the world right now.” After getting the tattoo, he and his wife went to The Juice Bar, which James' wife owns, and where he was lucky enough to meet the NBA star, show his family the piece, and pose for a couple pictures with his idol.

During Season 2 of Comic Book Men, Kevin Smith held a book signing at his comic store in New Jersey. Jason Mewes (the Jay to his Silent Bob) was running security and found a fan in line with a portrait tattoo of both actors' faces on his back. The superfan asked them to sign near the portraits so that he could have the signatures permanently inked too. Smith confessed that he has signed some interesting body parts during his career, including some guy's scrotum. If that tattoo exists…we don't want to see it.

This lady has an entire Facebook album devoted to Katy Perry and has managed to meet her several times. The tattoo isn't that great, but you can tell that it was inspired by the cover of Perry's One of the Boys album, so it's close enough, right?

Who knew golf fandom was so intense? South African pro Ernie Els met a fan with a tattoo of a golfer swinging for the sunset and Els' nickname, “Big Easy.”

It's a shame that this guy didn't get Conan's mug done up in color to do that glorious hair justice, but at least he got to meet the man and be on television.

Former Ghanaian footballer Tony Yeboah is one of the most famous scorers in the country's history, so it makes sense that someone would honor him with permanent body art. The Frankfurt fan got Yeboah's jersey number, his name, and the club name “Eintracht” on his back. The only other tat we can see is one of Christ the Redeemer on his arm, so that should give you some idea of how important the player is to this guy.

Can you call this posing? This Chelsea fan sprinted onto the field during a friendly match last year, showed Drogba the tattoo, hugged him, and refused to let go. We hope Drogba got a restraining order the next day because that shit is creepy.

Bruce Campbell has probably seen his face on more fan bodies than anyone else on this list. Fans of the Evil Dead franchise are hardcore, and they often get Campbell's portrait from one of the three films (mostly the iconic images from Army of Darkness). The actor and director has even held tattoo contests at comic conventions, inviting people on stage to show off their ink and to be judged by the man himself.

Everyone should have an Action Bronson tattoo, period. Bronson always takes the time to connect with his fans on the street, on Instagram, and during shows, so you know he was genuinely happy to meet this person.

Unless you were alive in the '80s, you probably have no idea who this former pop star is, but you can Google her later. The important thing to know here is that, according to Daily Mail, she is still doing celebrity signings for some reason and didn't hesitate to pose with this creeper.

Charlie Villanueva has only been in the NBA since 2005, so it may be too soon to call him a legend, but there is at least one fan out there who thinks that he is. This guy has not one, but two Villanueva portraits on his body.

The English soap opera star is only 27 and already has at least two people with her face on them, so she must be doing something right or horribly wrong.

These tattoos look like they were done in prison maybe by George Takei himself. Sulu and the rest of the Star Trek crew definitely deserve better.

According to TMZ, the guy in this photo with Bieber is an alleged weed dealer, and the other portraits are of himself, Diddy's stepson Quincy Brown, and music video director Alfredo Flores. The photo was removed shortly after it was posted, but the tattoo is permanent.

There is something about the sultry voice that gets the ladies every time. Grammer told Letterman that the woman who got his portrait tattooed on her arm had problems with people mistaking it for Bill Clinton, so he autographed it for her to get his signature tattooed and clear up the confusion.

Returning to the character that made him famous, Paul Reubens (aka Pee-wee Herman) went on George Lopez' Lopez Tonight show and met a lovely lady with his face tattooed on her leg. The tattoo is in the style of a stencil, but it is clearly Pee-wee, and the actor got in really close to check it out.

Dan Aykroyd has been pushing for a new Ghostbusters film for a while now, so any fan who shows interest in the franchise is a welcome sight. We really wouldn't be surprised if he has a tattoo of his own face as Ray Stantz.

Nicky Hayden is a Moto GP racer from Kentucky with a championship to his name and a hoard of loyal fans that follow him from team to team. According to the fan's Reddit conversation, he went for the bike instead of Hayden's face because “it's more about the artwork than the person in the artwork.” At least now he can switch up his favorite riders without getting the tattoo changed.

The fan looks way more excited to show GZA his Wu-Tang tattoos than GZA is to see them. Maybe he should have waited around to meet Raekwon or Method Man instead.
