The Office: noun. A room, set of rooms, or building used a place for commercial, professional, or bureaucratic work. The local center of a large business.

Sounds boring.

However, there are companies that this definition to a whole new level. Game rooms. Slides. Wicked spots to just chill. Places that, in essence, make work more fun.

10. Red Bull Office

Red Bull’s London office is the office of the future. With a cutting edge design, this office sports a rooftop terrace, ping-pong tables in meeting rooms, slides, floating staircases, and designated social areas. This isn't to say that other Red Bull locations are bland. In fact, the Amsterdam location sports an airplane winged desk, a skateboarding ramp, rude toilet signs, and a "crash room." Impressive.

9. adidas Office

Design firm KINZO developed the new working environment for the adidas global headquarters in Herzogenaurach, Germany. The custom furnishings, dubbed WORKOUT, encourage collaboration. Furniture as a team is the general idea. Perfect for a company with sporting heritage.

8. Twitter Office

Fun Fact: Twitter employees designed the office space themselves. Located in San Francisco, California, the office space is covered with bird images and @ symbols —just like the website. The office is clean and simple with bursts of color on walls and furniture.

AOL Office

When AOL relocated to start-up land, ahem, Silicon Valley, the company looked to studio o+a to revamp their office look. With new youthful persona to match the new locale, AOL has got a little cool back in its step.

6. Skype Office

Out in Palo Alto, Skype's new office space is designed to woo talent away from the competition. The open plan has areas for relaxing and playing a little foosball. Most important, the design is green... in fact, it’s good enough for a LEED Silver certification. Environmentally friendly is cool.

5. Chandelier Creative

Creative firms have the coolest offices. Hands down. In NYC, Chandelier Creative balances hard work with plenty of play. Their workspace is even equipped with a ball pit. Studio dogs and amazing pink doorways are just added bonus.

4. Google Office

Work hard play hard seems to be the philosophy at Google. Located in Silicon Valley, California, Google strives to blend home and work life. With a gym, free laundry rooms, swimming pools, day care centers, volleyball courts, and eighteen cafeterias, Google makes employees feel right at home. The company even offers a free shuttle service (with wifi!) to and from work for employees living in the San Francisco and East Bay area. Talk about a sweet deal.

3. PRPS Office

Most people go to work enclosed in a cubicle surrounded by spreadsheets and power point presentations. However, when Donwan Harris goes to work, he’s stepping into an office with a personal archive American Pickers would love to buy. Forsome people this is a museum, for Donwan Harris it’s just an awesome office.

2. Facebook Office

Facebook’s 150,000-square-foot office is located in Palo Alto, California and was designed by studio o+a. The company interviewed employees in order to get a feel for their goals and expectations for the office. It seems as if the Facebook office was designed much like the Facebook site. White walls and unfinished structures inspire employees to make the space unique by adding their own personal finishing touches. These touches can include anything from moving furniture around to adding artwork to writing on the walls.

1. Inventionland

Conjuring up over 2000 useful ideas a year, Pittsburgh-based Inventionland licences 1 brand new product every three days. This much creativity needs a space to match. Naturally, Inventionland has the coolest office space we've ever seen. A tree house, shoe house, desks in grottoes, a track... the list goes on.
