UK-based sneaker care brand Crep Protect have launched a newly-packaged protector spray in support of the Black Lives Matter movement.
The original branding has been stripped from the can and replaced with sleek and simple, all-black packaging emblazoned only with the words 'Black Lives Matter', and Crep Protect have pledged 100% of proceeds from the spray will go to four charities — Black Lives Matter, Black Lives Matter UK, The Bail Project and Campaign Zero.
Speaking on the initiative, the company's director, Antony Mussi, said: "We are appalled and saddened at the recent cases of racial injustice that have publicly come to light across America. Crep Protect stands in solidarity with the fight against racial injustice, and we are committed in making sure that we are doing all that we can to support the Black Lives Matter Movement both internally and externally.
"As individuals and as a company, we at Crep Protect are acutely aware of the rich and diverse input that the black community has had on the sneakers and streetwear throughout the decades. We are grateful for the creation of such a platform, which allows us to continue to champion diversity and individuality through a common love of sneakers. We hope the contribution to our chosen charities will help them to maintain the pace for change, while we continue to commit to eradicating any forms of racism by understanding, learning, and actioning new initiatives across the organisation to achieve race equality indefinitely."
