nanamica continues to explore the concept of Roots, maintaining proximity to the ocean with the launch of Spring/Summer 2020.
With Fall/Winter 2019 nanamica - meaning 'House of the seven seas' - began an exploration of their Roots, retaining their close connection to the world's oceans through functional aesthetics, visual language, and in name. Spring/Summer offers a spiritual succession to these foundations, exploring relaxed, functional silhouettes with a smokier colour palette representative of the sands that lend themselves to the collection's lookbook. As always, several shades of blue appear throughout the full range in reference to the aquatic inspirations at the brand's core, with paler and bolder hues highlighting shirting, while heavier weight pieces appear in deeper shades. Functionality remains are the forefront of the delivery, with continued usage of the sweat-diffusing ALPHADRY fabrics throughout the apparel component. An environmentally conscious approach has also been adopted, with organic cotton weaved across an array of products.
