Since conception, nanamica - meaning 'House of the seven seas' - has maintained a close collection to the sea not only through name but also through their the functional aesthetics of their apparel lines. Fall/Winter '19 continues this development of functional products with a dedication to evoking imagery of water.
Each of the individual items put together to create the FW19 collection has been created to build looks that don't appear too put-together. The most important elements of the drop are a feeling of comfort, freedom, and function, highlighting through an American navy-inspired hooded coat built using a double layer polyester GORE-TEX® fabric. In the pursuit of elevating classic styling with a highly functional edge, the coat features leather cutting used for mountain jackets and a welded structure for weather protection. There is heavy use of blue throughout, with other nature-based colours from brown through to orange, creating soft contrast on everyday looks.
