When it comes to delivering bold visual treatments with an unmistakable signature aesthetic, photographer Calvin Pausania has knocked it out of the park time and time again. His latest outing sees denim become art in collaboration with COLD WASH for a unique pair of lasered jeans. The collaboration sees fashion, photography, and literature merge against a physical medium, resulting in what can only be described as wearable art. Black denim serves as a canvas for an unreleased photograph by Pausania on the back of the left leg and a verse about escapism - written by Zainab Goelama - sitting against the right thigh. COLD WASH's utilisation of laser engraving throughout their design process burns and removes the denim fabric and exposes the original natural colored yarn, without damaging the cotton and creating beautiful graphic finishes.
