Charli Howard is the latest model speaking out against the fashion industry's ridiculous body standards. Howard was dropped by her agency after they told her that she was too big, despite the fact she is 5'8 and wears around a U.S. size two.

The 23-year-old from London was brought in by her agency to be told that they "appreciated" her keeping her weight down, but it was a problem, she told Dazed.

The model took to Facebook the next day to blast the agency, and the status blew up. "Here’s a big FUCK YOU to my (now ex) model agency, for saying that at 5”8 tall and a UK size 6-8 (naturally), I’m ‘too big’ and ‘out of shape’ to work in the fashion industry,” she wrote. “I refuse to feel ashamed and upset on a daily basis for not meeting your ridiculous, unobtainable beauty standards..."

Howard says that she was inspired by Cara Delevingne to open up about the issue. The top model shared her struggles with the industry earlier this year, saying that even she was criticized for her body.

Now, Howard is encouraging more models to only work at the size they are happiest.
