Mr. Porter says this Givenchy coat will "amp up an all-black outfit." That is a true statement, although I'm not the best person to ask about amping up black fits because the last time I wore all black was the two Halloweens I was a ninja back-to-back. What I do know is that this jacket is made from wool and cashmere and has a few pops of color. Pops of color are great for alphets and dinner plates, but not resumes. I have a few resume pops of color like really large gaps in my working history and unexplained extremely short tenures at particular positions. Every time someone looks over it they make that face like, "Oh, I'm definitely contacting this guy's former employers because I can't wait to hear how they describe this poor fuck's work ethic."
