In today’s image-obsessed world, it’s not uncommon to hear reports about bat-shit crazy men going under the knife to look like their favorite celebrities. Whether it’s Justin Bieber, the Ken doll, or even Kim Kardashian, many dudes have shelled out obscene amounts of dough in an effort to achieve their ideal look. And just when we thought these stories couldn’t get any more insane, a 34-year-old Chinese man steps up and reveals he’s received plastic surgery to look like William Shakespeare. Yeah, William Shakespeare, as in the 16th century English playwright.

Zhang Yiyi, who is also a writer himself, has reportedly spent $225,800 on cosmetic procedures, which included eye reconstruction, eyelid surgery, nose surgery, and a face tuck. After coming forth about the procedures earlier this week, Yiyi sparked a lot of debate on the Internet—some have said his efforts were successful, while others have disregarded his actions as just plain creepy.
