This year's New York Fashion Week garnered more attention than ever. Asides from the fact that it coincided with NBA All-Star weekend, it was also the week that Kanye West finally revealed his collaboration with adidas. Kanye wasn't the only West who made headlines this week, as his daughter North was also the center of attention after being spotted front row at two runway shows. Other big moments included New York label VFILES taking its show uptown for the first time ever, as well as the launch of game-changing sneaker apps from both Nike and the three stripes.  In case you missed the madness, we've rounded up the biggest moments from New York Fashion Week.

VFILES Takes Over Lincoln Center

1.

Downtown cool-kid shop VFILES ventured uptown and presented its collection at Lincoln Center for the first time ever. VFILES is known for its strong sense of youth culture and for supporting the younger generation of designers, taking the show uptown was definitely a breakthrough moment for the brand. It was also the last season New York Fashion Week will take place at Lincoln Center, due to lease violations.

Kanye West Presents His Collection With adidas and Premieres New Song

2.

This was hands-down the biggest moment at this year's NYFW. After many months of speculation, Kanye finally presented his collection with adidas, and released the first sneaker from the collaboration, the Yeezy 750 Boost. On Thursday, hundreds of people gathered on the west side of Manhattan to view the collection which featured a stage of non-traditional type models who stood in line in a militant-like order. During the show, Kanye also premiered the first song from his upcoming album, featuring Vic Mensa and Sia.

Baby North West Sits Front Row and Cries the Entire Time

3.

Though Kanye's collection received an overwhelming amount of press following the show, the bigger story seemed to be that North West sat in the front row at both his show and at Alexander Wang. She was also pictured crying the entire time so we're not sure that she will be attending next year. Lesson learned: runways are no place for babies (except for the editors who whine because they weren't seated front row).

Kanye West Brings Out Yeezy Boosts to Customers at the adidas Flagship Store

4.

Days after Kanye's presentation, The Yeezy 750 Boost dropped in-store and were available to any lucky customer who reserved the shoe through adidas' newly launched app, Confirmed. The app allowed you to pre order the shoe and pick them up in the store on Saturday morning. Though the shoes quickly sold out and securing a pair of Yeezys was a blessing in itself, customers were in for an unexpected surprise when Kanye brought out the shoes himself and gave them pretty much the best Valentine's Day gift anyone could ask for.

Nike and adidas Launch line-eliminating Sneaker Apps

In addition to adidas' Confirmed app, Nike also launched a similar app, SNKRS. The app will eliminate having to wait in line for sneakers by letting you order them directly from your phone. We're hoping that this will be the answer to ending sneaker violence, an issue we've seen peak in recent months. Unlike adidas's app, SNKRS doesn’t reserve a pair for you in store, it delivers them to your house, and is available for multiple pairs of shoes—not just the Yeezy 750 Boost.
