It’s been a few years since we first saw the “man bun” emerge from our nation’s hipster enclaves. And because the trend hasn’t shown any signs of dying, a group of friends set out on a mission to clear the world of this ridiculous look ... one head at a time.
The operation, dubbed “Stop the Knot,” is the brainchild of the Derick Watts & The Sunday Blues comedy group, who ironically enough, seem exactly like the type of men who would don this kind of hairstyle.
Equipped with a camera, a car, and a pair of scissors, three of the group’s members searched the streets of South Africa for dudes who resembled “prepubescent samurais.” Once they spotted an unsuspecting target, they swiftly approached and snipped the top knot right off.
It’s an extremely gutsy stunt, but well worth the risks if it means we will finally see an end to this god-awful trend.
