Alexander Wang is having quite the year. After teaming up with H&M for a sold-out collaboration, and continuing to hold down the fort as creative director at Balenciaga, he's now expanding his eponymous label by opening a new flagship store at 43-44 Albemarle Street in London's Mayfair neighborhood. The brand already has 18 stores worldwide, and the Mayfair store, which boasts 6,500 square feet of retail space and is set to open early next year, will be Wang's first European flagship.

The Mayfair district has been traditionally known as a fairly quiet area inhabited by art galleries and dealers, but in recent years it has turned into a retail hotspot. Wang will join good company when it moves in to Albemarle Street, with Paul Smith, Amanda Wakeley, Buccellati, and Garrard & Co. already taking up residence on the block.

From a glass and marble store in Tokyo's Aoyama district, to a mirrored bronze location in Beijing that opened last year, Wang's retail spaces always take the shopping experience to the next level. We'll be eagerly waiting to see what the brand has in store for the London location when it opens in early 2015.
