Hanksy found a way to break into got his hands on the keys of an abandoned brownstone in New York's East Village in January and decided that the space was the perfect spot for an illegal graffiti show. For "Surplus Candy" the street art prankster invited more than 40 of his artist friends, including Icy and Sot, Moustache Man, Royce Bannon, A.S.V.P., and Gilf!, to come decorate the walls in anyway they saw fit.
Icy and Sot put up some stencils inspired by riots, including a piece called Enjoy Coca-Cola where the soda bottles were transformed into Molotov cocktails with real flames.
If you couldn't make it to the forbidden exhibition, check out the video above, which gives you a walk-through of everything that went down (and up) in the off-limits space.
