A few months back, we introduced you to Mister Cartoon and Estevan Oriol's "Tattoo Stories" web series on the SanctionedTV YouTube channel. The series profiles tattoo artists including Baby Ray, Mister Cartoon, Tattoo Tony, Rick Walters, and Shawn Barber, each telling a bit about their start and their approach to the art. Already in its 15th episode, the series is still better than most of the tattoo shows you've seen on television and deserves more attention.
The latest episode highlights LA artist Ruger of Ruger Tattoos. The artist talks about learning through trial and error, never having an apprenticeship, and how graffiti helped him hone his skills to become a master portrait artist.
