I don’t know who’s thirstier, really dedicated sneakerheads or the dudes that will set one of these photos from Hypebeast’s “Shoe Porn” editorial as their wallpaper. I don’t even really get the whole point of this. Are sneakers and models going to go hand in hand like import cars and models do now? In a few years’ time will you be at a bar and meet a girl with tremendous boobs and tattoos and just when you think she’s gonna tell you she’s a senior social media strategist, she drops the sneaker model bomb? I wish I had some smart, erudite commentary on objectification, commodification and one more ‘-fication’ just for good measure on deck, but I don’t.
