Frank Gore is alleged to have dragged a nude woman by her hair at a hotel in Atlantic City last month.

Per a report from TMZ, published Wednesday, court documents obtained by the outlet show that local police claim the incident involved Gore and an unidentified 28-year-old woman. The date of the incident is listed as July 31, while the location is said to have been the Tropicana Atlantic City casino and resort locale. Gore is alleged to have grabbed the woman in question by her before “dragging her nude person” along the floor of a hallway on the hotel’s 59th floor.

In a news release shared publicly on Tuesday, the Atlantic City Police Department said a Franklin Gore had been charged with simple assault in connection with what they described as a “domestic violence incident” that took place on July 31. According to police, responding officers arrived at the hotel to find the 28-year-old woman speaking with the facility’s security team. At the time, police said, she “did not exhibit signs of injury.” Additional investigation, however, resulted in the simple assault charge against Gore.

Gore, who earlier this year made his professional boxing debut, was reported over the summer to be formally bringing his records-filled NFL career to an end.

“After 10 years in San Francisco and 16 years in the NFL, I can confidently say that I put all I had into the game of football,” Gore said back in June, per the Associated Press, when announcing his signing of a one-day contract with the 49ers and his retirement.
