Kevin Durant sent shockwaves throughout the NBA Thursday when the news surfaced that he had requested a trade from the Brooklyn Nets. 

While rumors of Durant wanting out of Brooklyn have been swirling for weeks, confirmation of his desire to part ways with the team he joined on this day three years ago added another ripple just hours before the league’s free agency period was set to begin. As expected, the news led to some interesting reactions on Twitter, ranging from people trying to process the constant shifting of the roster in his three years as a member of the Nets to wondering where it all went wrong to figuring out where he could be headed next.
