Customization of a car is completely subjective. It's technically that person's projection of his or her passion and art onto a vehicle. Whether that means all-chrome, enormous wheels, a dragon costume, or creating one car out of a completely different car, it's all open to interpretation. Naturally, not everybody is going to agree with everybody's passion. We've already highlighted the most tasteful and badass customs of this year (we're sure you're going to disagree with some of our choices, too), so now it's time to express our dislikes. Here are The Worst Custom Cars of 2013.

Chevrolet Corvette-Turned-Pontiac Vibe

Location Seen: New Mexico

There are some things in this life that the brain cannot logically process due to just how idiotic and backwards it is. Making a classic Corvette look like a Pontiac Vibe is one of those times.

Mansory Gronos Mercedes G63 G65 AMG

Location Seen: Geneva

Ever wonder what a rectangular lemon would look like? Mansory struck again this year, and this was the worst product for sure. G-Wagens aren't meant to bright.

Swarovski Lamborghini Murciélago LP640

Location Seen: Unknown

A Lamborghini is meant to be high-end. But it's not luxury high-end, it's best-supercar-on-the-planet-type high-end. It's the opposite of dainty. It has extremely masculine creases, exagerated cuts and angles, and power that will give you the tinglies (we say tinglies in the most manly way possible). So why are there swarovski diamonds all over the dash of this Murci? It completely eliminates any aggressiveness the interior was carrying.

Convertible Woodie Porsche Cayenne

Location Seen: Huntington Beach

Newport Convertible Engineering made a name for itself this year, pumping out some of the strangest chopped tops we've ever seen, including an Acura TL and this strange, strange Porsche Woodie. This is just doing such a disservice to all the classic woodie wagons we love.

Toyota Sponge Bob Highlander

Location Seen: NA

It's one thing see Sponge Bob on a television acting goofy, bouncing around the screen with Patrick and Squidward. It's another to have all of the faces of the show staring at you while you're driving one of the most obnoxious Toyota exteriors of all time. If we're going to drive a Squarepants car, we'll go with the rolling fishtank.

will.i.am's New Creation

Location Seen: L.A.

This creation cost will.i.am a reported $900,000. It's the second custom-bodied car that the car enthusiast/musician has brought to life, but there's just something off about it. It almost looks like fondant on one of those really fancy cakes you'd see on the Food Network.

Dodge Charger With TVs in the Doors

Location Seen: Memphis

If there were an award for the best worst car, this would probably win. Pretty much everybody loves television, and you could really have some fun with this thing. What if you just put on a bunch of clips of really important parts from movies and TV shows on repeat? Everybody already hates you because of the way the car looks, so you might as well actually ruin a little part of their lives while they hate.

Chris Brown's Lamborghini Gallardo

Location Seen: L.A.

The one upside about this paint scheme on Chris Brown's Gallardo: He gets bored quite easily, so we know it'll just get changed in a few months, if it hasn't been already.

Frankenstein Jeep Wrangler

Location Seen: Morocco

Unclassifiable is about the only adjective for this monstrosity. It has the Jeep Wrangler body, it has the classic spare-tire-on-the-front-panel look, and it has the International grille. And it has white walls. Go in, Macklemore.

Chrome Mercedes-Benz R500 on 30-inch Rims

Location Seen: Florida

If you know Ace Whips, you know that this exact formula for customizing cars is nothing new. Large rims, outrageous wraps, and just an overall shitty-looking car. They're going to get called out every time.

Lamborghini Aventador Replica

Location Seen: China

Some Aventador replicas actually turn out looking like real Aventadors. This just looks like a Sunfire with a bodykit. It does, however, reportedly have a 400hp V8 under there somewhere, which would make for a hilarious purple sleeper.

BMW 7-Series on 30-inch Rims

Location Seen: Florida

A 7 series is supposed to be a top-of-the-line model BMW, carefully crafted, precisely tuned so that the drive and everybody inside has a nice, quiet sanctuary to enjoy the road. Putting rims that big with tires that small on it completely takes away any chance of a smooth ride.

Golden Dragon BMW Z4

Location Seen: China

We want to give this one a pass for its possible cultural relevance, but it's just too horrifically tragic. The dragon doesn't even look fierce, like, c'mon.

Mooya Delivery Jaguar XJ220

Location Seen: Dubai

It really should be no surprise to see a car in Dubai being used how people in the U.S. use Ford Escorts. After all, have you seen their police fleet? Still, the fact that they're using one of the most rare supercars of the past two decades for a delivery service is quite odd. Maybe they take extra tips for free rides around the block?

Velvet Range Rover Evoque

Location Seen: London

Velvet is for band names that end in "underground." Velvet is for the inside of jewelry boxes. Velvet is for those little black dresses. Velvet is NOT for the exterior of a car. This became the wrap trend of 2013, unfortunately, as it's been down on this Range Rover, a Fisker Karma, a Ferrari 599, and a Bentley Continental GT.
