Yeah, we're not exactly sure what that logo is either. It's sort of like a 10-year-old's interpretation of what a car should look like, but we'll let it slide. Instead of the dial seven 7s thing, Carmel uses seven 6s, or you can use the pretty simple website to book. There's nothing special about Carmel, just your basic car service that will get you from Point A to Point B in a nice, clean vehicle.

UBER is easily the most technologically advanced car service here. Coming to New York from its start in San Francisco, UBER has a phone app, from which you can order a car, get an estimate on how long the car will take, and watch the car move toward you on a map. The main issue with this service is the high price, but that's to be expected with the unique features that you can't get with other companies. And now with the UberPOOL option, this can eaisly be solved by splitting your fare and ride with others.

With a homebase on 8th Ave between 18th and 19th, AllState is in a great location to easily get to anybody in New York City in a reasonable pickup time. The drivers look and are professional, and the prices are usually slightly lower than the typical taxi. The one problem we found was the overuse of air freshener at times. Better than smoke, though, right?
