About a year and a half ago, we put out a full feature introducing you all to an 18-year-old BMX rider we had pegged as a must-watchfor the next 5, 10, 15 years. His name is Chad Kerley, and it's a name that, as expected, has continued to grow in the action sports world since we met the kid. In August, Kerley won BMX Street gold at X Games L.A., edging out Garrett Reynolds by a point. This week, the two will be pitted against each other once again, as BMX streetsyle returns to the Dew Tour on Wednesday (October 11-13) at the Toyota City Championships in San Francisco. We caught up with the technical master and he put down his 10 favorite places for riding in his home city of San Diego. Click on to see if he rides at your spots and follow him on Twitter and Instagram for an insider's view of this week's competition.

"The three-stair stage spot is a block away from my parents house and it works perfectly for a manual pad. Nose manual tricks and manual tricks are real fun at this spot. It's only three stairs, so it's not that tall to get on either, which is dope. "

9. Memorial Skatepark

"Memorial Skatepark is cool, I don't go too often, since it's in the ghetto, but when I do, it's usually with a crew and in the morning on the weekday when kids are in school. After school, it gets packed and dudes start drinkin', so we catch the sesh before all that goes down."

8. Dennis Enarson's Backyard

"Dennis Enarson's backyard is tranny heaven. If I'm ever feeling over street and wanna ride something else, I usually go ride the ramps with Dennis and the MARKIT crew. It's real gnarly back there, so it's a fun place to ride to get going fast."

7. Clairemont Skatepark

"Clairemont Skatepark is my home turf. I grew up riding there, have homies there, and learned a bunch of tricks there. They have everything, including a huge part course and a street course. Whenever I need to brush up on my tranny moves, I usually hit this park up."

6. Ocean Beach Skatepark

"My new place makes this the closest park to me, so I find myself riding it the most out of other parks around SD. It's got it all with fun street obstacles, and if the park is empty, you can flow around it."

5. Poway Skatepark

"This park is dope. It's all concrete and offers park and street obstacles. Their bowl has hips in it, and they have the best flat rail in San Diego."

"Montgomery Field airport is a street spot I grew up riding since it's in the neighborhood. It has banks going down the whole block and it's something else fun to ride when I don't wanna ride ledges and rails."

3. University of California, San Diego

"UCSD campus is one of my favorite college's to ride, because it's pretty big and spread out, so it's good for sessions on spots with homies. It has stairs, drops, rails, butter benches, wall-rides, and even a tall marble ledge. Definitely one of my favorite spots."

2. San Diego Post Office

"This spot is pretty new to me, I just moved into a new area and it got me closer to it, so it's becoming a local spot for me now. It has a dope bank to wall-ride and cool curb setups that work for manual pads."

"I grew up riding his spot since it's only a couple blocks away. It's definitely one of my favorite ledge spots. One of the ledges has angle iron on the edge which makes it slide even better."
