Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa of Los Angeles just announced that there will be a Formula E—an open wheel racing series similar to F1, but with electric motors—race in downtown LA in 2014. This announcement was followed by a demonstration of a prototype car with a McLaren powertrain on Hope Street.
While it all looks very cool, that sounds is terrible. This car sounds like a cordless impact driver is molesting a stand mixer.
