Ja Morant's friend, Davonte Pack, has an arrest warrant out in his name stemming from a fight involving a teenager that occurred at the NBA All-Star's home in 2022.

According to CBS Sports, the Shelby County Sheriff's Office issued the warrant on Tuesday that called for Davonte Pack's arrest. Pack is one of Morant's best friends and was allegedly involved in beating up the teenager named Joshua Holloway alongside Morant during a pick-up basketball game.

The Washington Post shared an article in April that revealed Ja Morant was involved in an altercation with a teenager at his home. The NBA superstar was playing a game of basketball when he was hit on the chin and things turned violent. Halloway claimed Morant and Pack assaulted him and continued to beat him up once he was already on the ground.

As a result of the alleged beatdown, Shelby County police are looking to arrest Pack. In a statement, the Sheriff's Office stated Pack had been charged with simple assault regarding the incident.

"The Shelby County Sheriff's Office obtained a warrant for the arrest of Davonte Pack, who has been charged with simple assault in relation to the July 2022 altercation involving Mr. Pack, Memphis Grizzlies basketball player Ja Morant, and a juvenile basketball player at Mr. Morant's residence in Eads. The SCSO consulted with the SCDAG before obtaining the warrant," the statement read.

Holloway filed a lawsuit against Morant and Pack in September, while the Memphis Grizzlies star play filed a countersuit in April. Ja Morant hasn't been hit with any criminal charges in that incident. Nonetheless, he's been having an eventful offseason.

The NBA announced last month that Morant will be suspended for 25 games at the start of next season after multiple videos surfaced showing the 23-year-old flashing a firearm on Instagram Live. The first video came in the middle of the season showing Morant at a strip club in Denver, and he ended up receiving an eight-game suspension. Morant promised to get better, but the second video was released during the playoffs, with him showing the gun before the cameraman turned away.
