Drake took a moment during his latest It's All A Blur tour stop to shout out his alleged doppelgÀnger Stephen Curry, who attended the show alongside his wife Ayesha Curry.
Drizzy performed for a sold-out crowd at Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Monday night and took a moment mid-show to send some love to the four-time NBA champion, who was seated in the VIP section.
âI got my brother in the building tonight. They say we look alike,â Drake said. âMake some noise for my brother Steph Curry in the building one time. And of course, the lovely Ayesha Curry. And mama bear, you know.â
Drake and Steph Curry have been friends for years, despite the Raptors beating the Warriors in 2019 NBA Finals. The Boy even rapped about the NBA Star's team back on "Summer Sixteen," spitting: "Golden State running practice at my house."
Curry confirmed at the time that Drake was actually spitting facts with that bar.
"That got some real-life aspect to it,â Curry said at the time. âMe and my brother-in-law, I was playing one-on-one with him at Drakeâs house. They were watching. They didnât really shoot that much that day, but my brother-in-law got all that work, so that was good.â
âI was like, âMan, we gotta ball this summer. We gotta actually play.," Drake told Comcast SportsNet about the hoop session. "'You should bring the whole squad,â Heâs like, âAlright, we might come out there and really run a little scrimmage. I was like âOkay, I might have Golden State practicing at the house.â That was kinda where the line came from. Thatâs what I like to do. I like to say things kinda right before they happen.â
Drake'sz It's All A Blur Tour will return to Barclays Center for two more nights before he and 21 Savage head off to Madison Square Garden for three nights of shows.
