Raptors' Patrick Patterson Was Wearing Mittens in the Middle of Tonight's Game Against the Sixers

In today's edition of "You learn something new everyday," Patrick Patterson was spotted sitting on the sidelines and wearing mittens.

Patrick Patterson had his best scoring output in a month with 15 points on 6/10 from the field in the Toronto Raptors' 114-103 win over the Philadelphia 76ers tonight. Maybe he should thank his lucky mittens for the accomplishment. During the game, Patterson was spotted sitting on the sidelines wearing some huge, blue gloves to "stay nice and toasty."

Upon seeing Patterson's mittens, former San Antonio Spurs player and Comcast SportsNet analyst Malik Rose recalls when a couple players would wear some form of Paraffin wax to keep his hands warm. The Flyers' ice under the Wells Fargo Center hardwood may have something to do with the cold temperatures in the arena. Either way, don't be surprised to see Patterson break out the gloves again in their next game. After such a good performance, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
