James Harden had a lot to be grateful for heading into Christmas this year. The Houston Rockets star guard was coming off a 2017-18 campaign where he led the league in points per game (30.4), made a sixth-straight All-Star Game appearance, led his team to the Western Conference Finals, and was named NBA MVP. It was quite the rewarding year for Harden, but it probably didn’t come close to the feeling he gets around holiday season when he holds his annual Christmas shopping spree.

Earlier this week, Harden's 3theHardenWay foundation partnered with the Target in Pearland, Texas to shut down the store for a select number of families, so they can have an undisturbed shopping spree. Each one of the 70 children received a gift card to purchase whatever they want with their parents by their side. Even Harden made a surprise drop-in to take part in the families' special moment.

Harden also took the time to reflect on the one-of-a-kind shopping spree experience, admitting that "the feeling never gets old."
