Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports reports that nine NBA superstars held a private conference call Monday where they came to an agreement that all of them would be unanimously in favor of resuming the season, if given the opportunity.

Chris Paul, president of the National Basketball Players Association, arranged the call with LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Kevin Durant, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Kawhi Leonard, Stephen Curry, Damian Lillard, and Russell Westbrook. It is believed that this particular group will be significantly influential in deciding the league's plan on what to do about the remainder of the season.

ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported earlier today that NBPA regional reps sent texts to players asking for them to submit their response as part of an anonymous survey about a season restart.

National Basketball Players Association regional representatives started texting NBA players today with a 'yes or no' question it says will be kept confidential: Do you want to try and play again this season? The union's trying to gauge broader sentiment of its 400-plus players.

Discussions regarding what to do about the remainder of the season has heated up since NBA commissioner Adam Silver laid out the league's possible strategy during a teleconference with the NBPA Friday. Silver suggested holding games in either of their preferred locations: Orlando and Las Vegas.

"There's no point in adding risk for flying all of you city to city if there's not going to be fans," he said. "We think it would be safer to be in a single location, or two locations, to start." With the use of a single site, Silver believes each round of the playoffs can be a seven-game series.

The NBA announced on March 1 that the 2019-20 campaign was suspended amid coronavirus concerns.
