America's national pastime thrives south of the border.

Intro

Name two reasons for red-blooded Americans to go see a baseball game in Mexico: 1. You're a Mets fan and you need to drink beer after the 7th inning a lot more than you need to drink it before 2. You think 76 cent tickets sounds like a reasonable outlay for a ballgame.

Full disclosure: I've never been to a Mexican League game, but, after answering "*sigh* yes" and "hell yeah" to the aforementioned questions, I'm pretty sure I'd be down. The Mexican League has been around since 1925 and is comprised of 16 teams. It looks like they play in stadiums that are a lot cooler than American major league ballparks (but maybe not minor league ones), there are advertisements on the players' uniforms, and cheerleaders on the field. What's not to like?
