Car customization is one of the craziest and most creative processes on the planet. It's expensive, time-consuming, and requires you to think that you can do better than the manufacturer. When it goes wrong, oh boy does it go wrong. We've highlighted those mistakes in separate posts. But out there amongst the amateurs are some true pros who know how to do it right. 25. HAMANN
Car: BMW 6-Series Gran Coupé M
Aerodynamics are at the center of HAMANN's package for the BMW 6-Series Gran Coupé M. In addition to a front bumper, rear spoiler, tailgate cover and side skirts, the kit also features a down force-inducing competition spoiler in the front and an insert in the rear bumper to allow for four tailpipes.

Car: Land Rover Defender
Tough gets tougher. Afzal Kahn took the defender and made it a murdered-out monster with racing seats inside and liquid red brake calipers, satin black wheel arches and roof, and an embossed front grille on the outside.
23. Callaway Corvette Stingray AeroWagon
Car: Chevrolet Corvette
This is one of the sexiest station wagons ever designed. The concept hasn't been given the go ahead by Callaway, but it'll cost $15,000 if demand is high enough for a roll-out.
22. Woo Automotive
Car: Nissan GT-R
This is one of the most surprisingly awesome customs of the year so far. You might hate it, but a couple of us actually like the pink chrome. It's a look we've never even thought of seeing, and it sets this GT-R and Maserati Quattroporte apart from anything else on the road. Well, everything but this.
21. Taylor Lynn Foundation
Car: McLaren MP4-12C
Each heart on this goldRush Rally McLaren represents a "substantial" to the Taylor Lynn Foundation, which has the simple, but touching, mission to improve the lives of all children.
20. mcchip Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG MC700
Car: Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG
What's cooler, the red and black paint scheme or the three-stages of tuning kits that bolster the already insane engine? The highest stage, stage four, has an ECU tune and upgraded catalytic converters, which shoots the Benz to 706hp and 583lb-ft of torque.
19. Mirage GT Black Edition
Car: Porsche 980 Carrera GT
The engine stayed the same, but the appearance went wild in Gemballa's Porsche 980 Turbo GT-based custom. The contrast is stark with the new black parts.
18. Wheelsandmore
Car: Ferrari F12Berlinetta
Faster, sleeker, and less symetrical. Wheelsandmore bumped up the horsepower up to 785 (from 730), added a new exhaust system, and added a new carbon fiber body kit.
17. Regula Exclusive Porsche Panamera
Car: Porsche Panamera
The Panamera is a divisive car, especially when its set in this ridiculous green color. With the radioactive scheme, the LED lights, and an engine tuning, it became more aggressive in appearance and drive.
16. Mazda RX-8 Blacknightz Coupe
Car: Mazda RX-8
A Singaporean student spent two years customizing the Mazda RX-8. Imagine what he could do after graduation. These are the only details he really released: "Let's just say there have been carbon fibre parts & Lightweight FRP molded and constructed, very minimal fiber glass involved and power mods added, tuned and refined with Knight Sports goodies, to enable it to tear up the streets!"
15. DMC F12 SPIA
Car: Ferrari F12Berlinetta
This was DMC's second take on the Ferrari F12. Using a titanium exhaust system, the SPIA jumped up from 740 horsepower to 764. And then there's the body kit, with a new front diffuser, lip spoiler, front hood, optional roof scoop, side skirts, rear spoiler lip and rear diffuser. The original was also one of the most attractive cars we've seen all year.
14. Carlsson SLK 340 Judd
Car: Mercedes-Benz SLK 340
The Judd ain't for the streets, at least the public ones. At only 1,720 pounds and a strong 610 hp, this custom is made for competition.
13. Glacius Creations
Car: Bugatti Veyron SUV
Right now this Veyron-inspired SUV only exists in renderings from the imagination of Glacius Creations. Hopefully it'll become reality. At least the Vossen VVSCV7 wheels are real.
12. Novitec Rosso F12 N-LARGO
Car: Ferrari F12Berlinetta
In March German tuner Novitec Rosso released the designs for this customized F12Berlinetta. It features a carbon fiber body kit, new front apron, wide fenders with air vents, anglede side skirts, and a large rear wing.
11. Team Galag
Car: Nissan GT-R
To be Gumball 3000-ready, this GT-R was given a full carbon fiber makeover on the body and some serious tuning underneath the hood to bring it up to 750 hp. The roofline was a dead giveaway.
10. Starwood Motors
Car: Jeep Wrangler
Dallas-based Starwood Motors built a Jeep Wrangler so mean it would scare the Grim Reaper. The new equipment includes a custom Spyder roll cage, body armor grill, KING off- road racing suspension, Rock Jock one-ton axles, safari doors with mirrors, custom made 22" XD Monster off-road rims and Mud Grappler extreme tires.
9. Mansory-Edition
Car: F12Berlinetta
The new carbon fiber hood is one just one aspect of Mansory's F12Berlinetta body kit, but it sticks out the most, giving the supercar a viper like face. Like the snake, we wouldn't mess with this 'Rari.
8. Wald International
Car: Rolls-Royce Ghost
It seems weird to see a body kit with the contours of a Japanese car on the classic body of a Rolls-Royce. It's bold, but we're not mad.
7. RUF CTR-3
Car: Porsche Cayman
This beauty belongs to one of the best car collectors around, Ralph Lauren. His eye for design is unfuckwitable, so we're not surprised to see him inside this tuned Porsche Cayman.
6. Hennessey
Car: Ford GT
Who says American cars can't hang with their foreign counterparts? This custom GT beat out a Bugatti this year to break the top speed record for the Texas Mile at 267.6 mph. The previous record holder? The very same GT in 2012.
5. Dubai Police
Car: Lamborghini Aventador
We've been obsessed with following the Dubai Police since we found out about its fleet of supercars. It's hard to pick the craziest of the bunch, but you certainly can't front on the Aventador. The squad also has a Ferrari FF, Bentley Continental GT, and Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG.
4. Dallas Performance
Car: Chevrolet Corvette
A thousand horses inside of one Corvette! Dallas Performance supercharged this C6 Corvette to break 200 mph in less than a mile.
3. RC82 Workchop 1945 Volkswagen BUGatti
Car: Bugatti Veyron/Volkswagon Bug
We'll never see this rc82 workchop rendering come to life, but the dichotomous pairing of past and future makes it perfect for a Fallout game.
2. Jeep Wrangler
Car: Jeep Wrangler
People think of the most unusual pairings for car customization. This one looks like the Wrangler had relations with a 1922 Lincoln Town Car. According to the YouTube video that first revealed the hybrid, it's one of 600 custom cars owned by Hamad Ben Hamdan Al Nahyan of the United Arab Emirates.

Car: Batman Tumbler
All other Batman inspired cars might as well be imposters. This is the real thing, or at least as close as anyone's likely to get to the real Tumbler from the Batman movies. Team Galag busted it out for the 15th Gumball 3000.
