Earlier this week, well-known car site Edmunds.com caused quite the stir, when one of its writers ranked the Lamborghini Veneno supercar the ugliest car ever built. We've told you our thoughts on that, so we're not going to blabber on about that topic anymore. This list did get us thinking, though. While pondering about and searching for some of the ugliest cars, we were reminded of one of the most distinct vehicles built in the past 20 years: the Chrysler PT Cruiser.

It's a polarizing hatch that lasted for 10 years and was actually a top seller for Chrysler. Some people, however, like us, think that there's something not quite right about the five-door. Call us crazy, but there's never been a time when we were like, "MAN, I just really want to drive a PT Cruiser! They just look so awesome and fun!"

Furthermore, because of the vehicle's popularity, plenty of these things have been put under the knife and customized with bodykits, rims, flashy paint schemes, and some special body work. Oh, and LOTS of chrome. Relive the memories not yet lost with 10 of the Worst Chrysler PT Cruiser Customs Ever.

Suicides

A custom grille, a bodykit, flames, grooved doors, suicide doors, and even a ragtop sunroof! It's like a kid took his favorite tuner magazines, cut out the pieces of six different cars, and pasted them all together to create one crazy-ass ride.

Pokemon

Under any other circumstance, we'd be telling you that this has no business being out in public, but it's for a video game store, so it's actually a genius idea. We're not sure which Pokemon that's supposed to be (we can't even really tell if that's a tail or a horn), but it's a fantastic marketing ploy. Every single person is going to be staring, and guess what they're going to remember? "Moe's Video Games."

Lambo Doors

Why have we seen so many PT Cruiser customs with flames? What about a PT Cruiser convertible says, "look at me, I'm a badass boss who doesn't give a single F?" We have no beef with pink cars, but the combo of a reworked front fascia, a custom paint job, and rims that belong on an Acura Integra is just too much.

Woah

This is so bad it's good, simply because you can barely even tell what car it originally was. Be careful, though, we've heard if you look directly into its headlights, you turn into a fish.

So ...

... like ...

I mean ...

... why did you pick a Chrysler for this again?

Rear

What's worse than a PT Cruiser? Two PT Cruisers. Well, one and a half, if we want to get technical. Even worse, they're sitting on three-bladers, some of the worst rims ever created. We hope you're storing sticks of dynamite in that boot.

Metal

We get it. You have a PT Cruiser, and you don't want people to actually know you have a PT Cruiser. So, you add a fake riveted metal look, a (probably) fake hood scoop, tribal tattoos on the hood, and a funky spoiler on the rear. Aren't you embarrassed more now, though?

We will ALWAYS ask, if you're going to take the time and effort to customize something to look like something else, WHY NOT JUST GET THAT CAR ON THE CHEAP AND FIX IT UP? This will never make sense to us.

Flame

Finally, a PT we like! Oh ... wait, we thought it was actually on fire.

Alien

Before, people were running away from this thing to get away from its awkward styling. Now they're just running away from the gigantic Alien head trying to eat them.
