Portland Trail Blazers guard Seth Curry has proposed to Callie Rivers, the daughter of Clippers head coach Doc Rivers, and she said yes.
According to TMZ, the NBA star popped the question to his longtime girlfriend on Valentine's Day at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse in Charlotte, North Carolina. While both NBA families were in town for All-Star Weekend, Curry and Rivers had plenty of loved ones to celebrate the engagement with.
Rivers took to Twitter to celebrate the news, writing, "2.14.19 was a DAY. so thankful & blessed & loved & happy & positive & complete." Warriors all-star Steph Curry, as well as he and Seth's father, Dell, were present for the couple's announcement. Doc Rivers was also in attendance, which suggests that he approves of the coupling.
The athleticism within this newfound family is one for the books. In addition to the Curry's notable basketball reputation, Callie Rivers is also a former professional volleyball player, earning herself an All-American honorable mention.
Curry's engagement wasn't the only high point the Blazers guard celebrated this week. During his team's face-off against the Golden State Warriors as well as his older brother, Curry scored 11 points off the bench in 20 minutes, which cushioned the Blazers' 129-107 victory.
