After years of being dangled on the trading block, Rajon Rondo has finally been shipped off from Boston. The former Celtics point guard is now a member of the Dallas Mavericks, according to ESPN's Marc Stein:

In return, the Celtics are receiving Brandan Wright, Jameer Nelson, Jae Crowder, Dallas' 2015 first-round draft pick, and a future second-round selection. Boston also gave up power forward Dwight Powell.
It's a major upgrade for the Mavericks, who have been desperate for a star point guard after whiffing on their selection of Shane Larkin in the 2013 NBA Draft. Rondo is also sure to appreciate the change of scenery. He'll now take over the NBA's first ranked offense, headlined by perennial All-Star Dirk Nowitzki. Dallas is built to win now, and at 19-8, they're certainly doing it.
UPDATE: The trade went official, and Rajon Rondo took to Twitter to let Boston know his feelings.
