Texans quarterback Ryan Mallett does not exactly seem to enjoy the easy paychecks that come with being a backup quarterback in the NFL, which is good because it doesn't sound like he's going to be one for much longer. Earlier this year, in training camp, he missed practice just days after being told he was the No. 2 on the depth chart behind Brian Hoyer. But, because it's Brian Hoyer, it wasn't long until Mallett got his chance as the team's No. 1.
Not long afterward, because it's also Ryan Mallett, he soon found himself back on the sideline where he was caught on camera looking pretty unhappy when his own team scored. Today the fifth-year-vet continued to dare Houston to cut him by missing a team charter to Miami:
Last straw, or simply another bullet point to add when something else like this inevitably happens again? We'll probably know the answer to that by the end of the week.
