One would think you'd have to go away for longer than eight months to truly hype a "comeback" (especially for a guy who's gone more than a year between matches multiple times) but Floyd Mayweather strongly hinted last night that he could be doing just that, thanks to reportedly asinine figures being offered to put on another one of his dull ass fights.
The undefeated 39-year-old says he has been conversing with both CBS and Showtime about a return. He retired back in September, so long ago we can hardly remember, after beating Andre Berto to bump his record to 49-0. After that bout he had said "My career is over. It's official."
However, last night, Mayweather appeared to change his mind, saying:
He also told Jim Gray that the "nine-figure" payday would be a necessity to convince him to return from retirement:
