According to Dwyane Wade, Dwyane Wade does not want a farewell tour in the same vein as the one that Kobe Bryant got a few years back. During the interview above, ESPN's Jorge Sedano recalled that LeBron James and Chris Bosh said that Wade was deserving of one of those prolonged goodbyes. The topic comes up at the 14:13 mark.

"I don’t want one of those," the 36-year-old said. "I talked to Kobe about that. He was like, ‘It was exhausting. As flattering as it was, it was very exhausting as well.’ I’m not a narcissist like that—I’m not calling Kobe a narcissist, he earned that and he needed that—but I can’t say I want a farewell tour like Kobe Bryant. That’s not who I am."

Wade also said that when the time actually does come to permanently hang up his sneakers, he'll reveal it to the world in his own way. "When the time comes, I don’t even wanna talk about it yet because it’s not here yet," he said. "But when the time comes, I’ll announce it in my own D-Wade fashion the way that I do, and hopefully I can move on from it and live on the memories from that point on."

After rejoining the team that he played with for the first 13 seasons of his career just five days ago, Wade also said that he'll finish out his career in Miami. When is the end? Your guess is probably as good as any.
