This morning the Brooklyn Nets shook things up by firing their coach Lionel Hollins as their GM Billy King was simultaneously reassigned within the organization.
The Nets were in second-to-last in the East so far this season (thank you, Sixers) with a wretched record of 10-27. Hollins was hired as the team's coach before the start of last season and, in his year-and-a-half with Brooklyn, was 48-71. He had originally signed a contract with the team to coach for four years after Jason Kidd left for Milwaukee. As for Billy King, he's served as the franchise's GM for the past six years.
For the rest of what is certainly a doomed season, assistant coach Tony Brown will serve as Hollins' interim fill-in.
