
Los Angeles Angels pitcher Tyler Skaggs has died.
On Monday, the Angels released a statement announcing that the 27-year-old passed away during the team's stay in Texas.
"It is with great sorrow that we report Tyler Skaggs has passed earlier today in Texas," the statement read. "Tyler has, and always will be, part of the Angel's Family. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife Carli and his entire family during this devastating time."
Currently, no cause of death has been revealed by the franchise. Southlake Police released a statement on Skaggs' death, stating, "No foul play is suspected. The investigation is ongoing."
The Texas Rangers also expressed their condolences while informing fans that tonight's game against the Angels has been postponed. The game will be made up at a date that is to be determined.
