Shaquille O'Neal is still reeling from Kobe Bryant's unexpected passing. But, he's decided to celebrate his former teammate's life by donating the proceeds of the Super Bowl edition of the Shaq's Fun House event to the foundation that Kobe shared with his wife, Vanessa and to the families of the other victims.

On Wednesday, Shaq took to Instagram where he explained the dilemma he experienced when deciding whether or not to continue with the event.

"Been going back and forth the past couple of days on if I should have my event in Miami this weekend," Shaq wrote. "Part of me wanted to stay to myself as I reflect on what my brother and his family meant to me and my family. But in thinking what would Kobe want, what would he do? Kobe would want us to push through and celebrate life."

"I'll be dedicating and donating all the proceeds from Friday night to the families who lose loved ones and to the Kobe and Vanessa Bryant Foundation," Shaq added. "Together we will celebrate all those who lost their lives in Sundays tragedy. RIP my brother, my friend, my homie, The Black Mamba. Until we meet again."

The Super Bowl edition of Shaq's Fun House in Miami on Friday will be headlined by Diddy, Diplo, Pitbull, Tiesto, Carnage, and more. There will also be special appearances from artists like DaBaby, Melii, Yella Beezy, and others. The expected festive mood is contradictory to the way Shaq has been feeling since Kobe's death. On Tuesday, a tearful Shaq spoke about his fallen during TNT's tribute to Bryant. “I haven’t felt pain that sharp in a while,” he said.

Shaq also took to IG to share a rap Kobe recorded while the pair where at the studio with DJ Clark Kent.
