Someone at NBA on TNT must have missed international geography class, because last night the show paid tribute to Canadian ballers with map that misplaced Toronto, Montreal, and Kitchener.

Sportsnet anchor Faizal Khamisa was the first to spot the “We Are the North” map, which put Toronto and Kitchener along the Hudson Bay, while Montreal is closer to Inukjuak in Quebec’s vast north.

what in the geography is this? pic.twitter.com/01LvFtky7M

Khamisa was also kind enough to provide a more accurate map.

Ok @NBAonTNT the wonderful Sportsnet crew is here to help you out pic.twitter.com/h6GhNBeFK2

Fellow sports anchor Jay Onrait then got in on the fun, praising the Hudson Bay’s basketball talent pipeline.

Hudson Bay continues to churn out elite basketball talent 👏😂

The moment had Canadians coast to coast looking for the screengrab.

Maps are important. And no one on @NBAonTNT has ever seen one of Canada pic.twitter.com/zH7pHBcKlY

Clearly the @NBAonTNT never had to draw and colour a map of Canada in elementary school… pic.twitter.com/kz9hGPk0zE

Hey @NBAonTNT, if you need a Canadian freelancer to help with all things NBA Canada, slide in the DM’s pic.twitter.com/elDpom8ZHX

That being said, NBA on TNT was right to promote Canadian talent on their show. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, among others, is having a tremendous season.
