Want to know what Tom Brady thinks about Deflategate now that all of the controversy surrounding it has finally died down? Well, don’t read the cover story that GQ just publishedon him, because he’s still not interested in talking about it.
Yesterday, GQ revealed their first Men of the Year cover featuring President Obama. Today, they revealed their second one featuring Brady as well as an excellent cover story on him written by Chuck Klosterman. The story doesn’t feature a whole lot of quotes from the Patriots quarterback, but as you’ll find out when you read it, that was largely because Brady didn’t want to have anything to do with Klosterman’s Deflategate-related questions. In the story, Klosterman points out that Brady’s team agreed to a no-holds-barred Q&A with GQ. But ultimately, it doesn’t sound like Brady got the memo about that, which is why his cover story is filled with awkward interactions like this:
Even though Brady didn't want to talk about Deflategate, though, Klosterman still does a nice job of framing where Brady is at in his career. Oh, and just in case you don’t care about any of that, GQ also captured a bunch of photos of Brady that just scream “MEME ME!” Stuff like this:
